Dick Rendek is one of the founders of our firm. On November 1st 2003 Dick returned to the practice of law after a four year absence during which he served as the President and C.E.O. of the Regina Airport Authority and then the Information and Privacy Commissioner for the Province of Saskatchewan.
Dick is one of the senior members of the firm and has had a distinguished career as a barrister. Dick graduated with a Bachelor Arts from the University of Saskatchewan in 1952 and a Bachelor of Laws from the same university in 1954. He practises mainly in the areas of civil litigation, insurance law and personal injury. He has been a member of the Saskatchewan Bar since 1955 and has practised in the City of Regina since 1962. He has also practised in Alberta and Ontario. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1981.
Mr. Rendek has extensive community involvement and his achievements include service as National President of the Association of Kinsmen Clubs of Canada, Chairman of the 1975 Western Canada Summer Games, Director and past President of the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club, Director and Executive member of the Regina Exhibition Association Limited, Charter member of the Saskatchewan Institute for the Prevention of Handicaps, and past member of the Board of Governors of the Canadian Football League. He was Chairman of the successful 1995 Grey Cup Bid Committee for Regina.
In 1997, he was inducted into both the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame and the Saskatchewan Roughriders Plaza of Honour. Dick is senior counsel to the firm and has held this role since 2003. In 2008 Dick was honoured by the Law Society of Saskatchewan with a life membership.
